3yo’s to follow on the flat.

Al Suhail (GB) b c 15th Feb 2017. I think he’s full of quality and hasn’t reached his potential yet. He was beat by a good one on debut in Al madhar and again against quality opposition in the solatio stakes where he travelled very well without being able to get the job done. On his Last start he travelled beautifully and looked the winner before his stablemate military march out battled him and stayed on best of all. The pair pulled well clear. I think Al Suhail after a break and time to strengthen up, now as a 3yo can have a very good season.

Military march. As above beat Al Suhail at Newmarket which I personally think is strong form, I wouldn’t be surprised if either managed to cause a shock in the 2000 guineas. The way he finished his race at Newmarket indicates that he will step up in trip over time but I wouldn’t underestimate him over the mile of the guineas.

Golden horde. Out stayed and out battle Threat in the Richmond stakes and put it up to earthlight in the middle park stakes. I really liked his attitude and the way he stuck at his task. His early season target is the commonwealth Cup at ascot. I’d have actually liked to have seen him in the Jersey over 7f as I think he’s doing all his best work late. So he may be one to follow later in the season and improve should they decide to step him up to 7f.

Dark lady. Has been operating at 6f and running well in group 3 company. I can see her improving this season with a step up in trip on the cards after All of her best work was done late. She subsequently ran an OK race finishing midfield in the Cheveley park at grade 1 level, and therefore is more likely to go under the radar throughout the season. Although her form is at a lower class in name. I think the quality of millisle and boomer is of a solid standard and it wouldn’t suprise me if dark lady can progress over trips of 7f and a mile and pop up at a big price.
